Better Than Therapy! I made a commitment to myself to start meditating twice a day. After procrastinating for a while I came upon this program. The first time I used it I found it very easy to use. It started with basic relaxation and then just using two tones to synchronize your breathing. Simple. Well, during the second session I started feeling uncomfortable. Over the course of the next few days I started remembering events from years ago that I had forgotten. I stuck with the meditation and set the intention that whatever needed to be resolved, I was ready to really face it and let it go. The meditation sessions became more uncomfortable. (I started actively disliking the two tones at one point.) Then, yesterday, I had an amazing breakthrough. I saw clearly for the first time events that happened in early childhood. I was able to really feel the pain from it and let it go. Thank you!

I love this program! Usually when I meditate, my mind wanders. With these MP3s, it seems impossible for my mind to wander, because it is so busy paying attention to the breathing, which is what they always tell you to do, "Pay attention to your breathing." That was always hard for me to do, until I listened to this program. After a while listening, I noticed that my body had become relaxed, but my mind was still focused on the breathing tones. When I first received this program, I was really struggling with some obsessive and unproductive thinking about a past relationship. In fact, at first, I found myself doing everything I could to AVOID listening to the meditation. And I felt this desperation--almost an insatiable hunger--to always be around other people. I was meeting friends, usually at loud bars, and having two or three drinks almost every night: I think all this was a way to drown out those relentless inner voices of regret and self-criticism. My better self finally realized what was going on, and I finally took a break from the constant socializing and drinking. I finally set aside a few evenings in a row where I was committed to confront all the stuff that I was avoiding. I decided I was FINALLY going to make time for the meditation. While it was powerful during the session, the real impact I felt was after about the third day of listening. As I went about my day on some errands, I noticed that almost all that negative chatter in my head felt like it had been vacuumed out, and I felt a growing sense of peace. I've listened to many relaxation/meditation CDs over the years. This stands out and has truly made a difference in my life. I look forward to sitting down with it, and immediately go to a deep state after a few breaths. The feeling of peace that it brings me is amazing. My dreams are more vivid and memorable with messages coming through. I believe that the meditations are making that possible. I think that combining the hypnotic suggestions, with the chimes for the breath, along with your voice is a perfect combination. Although I understand and have experienced the benefits of meditation, I often resist setting aside time for it. I am a high energy person who tends to be active and restless, and have a hard time stopping myself to shift gears and relax. However, ths meditation quickly helps me feel relaxed and transported to a place where I can slow down and get my body and mind back in sync. This guided meditation with pleasant background sounds are extremely helpful in soothing and reigning in my restless mind and pushing past the initial anxiety that comes up, while the tones then help me focus on and change my breathing to help me "reset" my body and mind to a better state.
